Mystery Park Ltd. on course to start building Preparatory work going full speed ahead

The Mystery Park Ltd. in Interlaken ended its second financial year on a positive note. Administrative costs were covered by interest on capital, and also sales of printed matter and merchandising goods. In the previous year, a total of some 5 million francs ( about US$ 3 m.) were invested in this unique theme park, based on the ideas of Erich von Däniken. The total investment to the end of the year 2000 now amounts to 6.2 million francs (about US$ 3.7 m.). This investment was raised by increasing the share capital, with contributions from private individuals and business partnerships. Mystery Park AG now has at its disposal some 30 million francs (about US$ 18 m.), either in hand or pledged. According to the company report the capital amounts to 21.8 million francs (about US$ 13m.) So from the financial point of view, the start of building work in the current year is assured. Some final objections need to be settled, and then nothing will stand in the way of starting construction of one of the largest Swiss tourist projects of recent years. Ground will be broken on the occasion of the general assembly, on 1st March 2001, at which the shareholders will be contributing a further capital increase. The total investment of 80 million francs (about US$ 48 m.) will if possible be raised without outside capital.
