Increase of share capital successfully concluded
Over 50 percent of total costs now financed

Mai 10, 2001

The Mystery Park Ltd. has now successfully concluded its second share capital increase since being listed on the stock exchange. During the subscription period from 2 March to 30 April 2001, a total of 541'000 new shares (value date 04.05.01) were purchased at an issue price of CHF 22.-- providing an inflow of funds to the sum of CHF 11'902'000--. This remarkable result, together with the sponsoring contracts already signed, means that over 50 percent of the total cost of the mystery and educational theme park in Interlaken has now been financed.

The Mystery Park has passed yet another milestone said the park's overjoyed initiator and founder, best-selling author Erich von Däniken. His joy grew as first estimates revealed that more than 3000 new small investors had shown their enthusiasm for the project and subscribed to shares at a par value of CHF 10.--. The "Park Community" already numbers over 7000 partners worldwide. For Oskar Schärz, President of the Board of Directors, this is "a unique display of confidence".

The minimum set target of CHF 11 million has been exceeded. Beat Kaderli, Financial Director of the Mystery Park Ltd, Interlaken, also regards the subscription figure as a success. Taking initial stock of the situation he said "The general turbulence surrounding the stock market has greatly unsettled investors". For this reason, institutional investors in particular have held back. The largest subscription of over CHF three million has been made by Hotela, the social insurance company of the Swiss hotel and hospitality industry. Payment under subscription of the newly subscribed shares took place on 4 May 2001.

The Board of Directors, which has yet to approve the share capital increase, is now authorized to gain further investors above the increase in share capital approved at the general shareholders meeting. The share capital ceiling is restricted to a nominal CHF 19.89 million. There is no danger of dilution as the new flow of capital will be used immediately to finance the realisation of the park project. Preparations for listing on the Swiss Stock Exchange SMX will be made during the coming weeks.

The total share capital now amounts to a nominal CHF 18'670'000.--, split into 1'867'000 bearer shares at CHF 10.-- each. The shares will be traded on the Berne Telephone Stock Exchange and over the counter in Berlin. A total of CHF 11'902'000.-- has thus flowed into the park project through share issues. To date, including contributions from sponsors and private investors, around CHF 42 million has been raised.

On the occasion of the General Meeting of March 1st, Erich von Däniken made the first cut in the soil and construction of the park began. The work is making good progress despite the heavy rainfall of the last few weeks. Information on the current state of construction and on the project itself is available on the newly designed Internet web site www.mysterypark.ch.

The Mystery Park is being constructed on the site of Interlaken's former military airfield. Seven different theme buildings will present the great mysteries of this world according to the ideas of Erich von Däniken, the world's best-selling author of non-fiction. Included will be the Pyramids of Gizeh and Chichen Itza and the lines and drawings of Nazca. The park will however not offer solutions, but aim to astonish visitors as they experience the wealth of exciting information presented using ultra-modern means of multimedia communication and inspire them to question the origins and future of human culture. The park will open next year and is expected to welcome a minimum of 500,000 visitors annually. The total construction costs amounting to CHF 80 million will be financed exclusively from the park's own resources, requiring no outside credit.
