Hence, Erich von Däniken is planning to construct an adventure park in the Bernese Oberland, where he lives. Between now and 2002, he wants to build facilities demonstrating these unsolved mysteries and the questions surrounding them. It is an expensive undertaking for which a foundation has had to be set up--the "Erich von Däniken-Mysteries of the World" Foundation.
In an interview with the Swiss tabloid "Blick" on August 31, 1996, Erich von Däniken said about the project that the "public will be astonished".
He plans to create a professionally-run, year-round operation for visitors from all around the world featuring unique "adventure shows." Erich von Däniken says he wants to present the mysteries as spectacularly and as authentically as possible. This will give the theme park a vitality that will be constantly enriched by the introduction of fresh material--new mysteries--which will ensure its financial viability.
